Scott Nehring, OD
Dr. Nehring established the Woodburn Eye Center in 1986. His office is equipped with the very latest diagnostic equipment for quality eyecare including vision analysis, eye health evaluations, children's vision, and contact lenses. Optical services provide a selection of over 650 frames and high quality ophthalmic lenses including Ultralite Style, Varilux and Transitions.
Dr. Nehring has extensive experience in working with pre-operative and post-operative cataract and LASIK patients. He is certified to use therapeutic pharmaceutical agents to treat glaucoma, iritis, "red eye" and other anterior eye diseases.
Dr. Nehring served as President of the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association (OOPA) in 1998-1999. He received the Optometrist of the Year Award from the OOPA in 1993 and the Presidents Award in 2000 and 2006. He lives in Woodburn with his wife Cindy and their children Brett and Emilee.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING Dr. Nehring has two Bachelor of Science degrees from Pacific University in Forest Grove. His Doctorate of Optometry was completed in 1983 at Pacific University College of Optometry. |

Ashley K. McFerron, OD
Dr. McFerron received her Bachelor of Science from The University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2003. Her Doctorate of Optometry was received in 2008 at the Oklahoma College of Optometry at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. In July 2008, Dr. McFerron moved from Oklahoma to join Dr. Nehring and staff at Woodburn Vision Source.
During her education, Dr. McFerron was trained in ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, and pediatrics, as well as all forms of primary care optometry. She is certified to use therapeutic pharmaceutical agents to treat glaucoma, iritis, "red eye" and other anterior eye diseases. Dr. McFerron’s main interests in optometry include contact lenses, ocular disease, and pediatrics.
Dr. McFerron is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), the Oregon Optometric Physician’s Association (OOPA), the Portland Metropolitan Optometric Society (PMOS), and the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians (OAOP). In her spare time, Dr. McFerron enjoys exercising, reading, and cooking. |
